Santa Gourds~ Five More Completed

I now have a total of 15 Santa gourds for the Holiday market in December. On to a new project!

 How silly are these? I love these little characters and decided to call them Snow Babies.

Five Completed-Five More to Finish!

 These Santa Gourds require a lot of time and patience waiting for paper clay and then paint to dry but I managed to finish five of them.

Ten More Santa Gourds in The Works

 Now that the 90-100 degree heat has passed I started working on some more gourds. It may take longer for them to dry in this humidity we are having but I am patient.

Little Snowman Gourd Ornaments

 I thought I would try something new today with the smaller gourds. I made these four little guys to hang on a Christmas tree. They are sitting in red caps just for the photo shoot.

Santa Gourds

 I am having a lot of fun making these Santa Gourds. They are still a work in progress but I wanted to share them at different stages. I like the antique look of these Olde Time Santas.

Little Snowman Cone Ornaments

Here are some cute little chubby cheeked snowmen made of sculpted paper mache faces on a little gourd. They are sitting in paper cones decoupaged with red and white candy cane tissue paper trimmed with antique lace. They have a tiny bell stitched on the end of their black felt hats.

Santa Peppermint Candy Buckets Finished

 A lot of work went into these little candy containers. I painted some cardboard tubing a dark forest green, made some wire handles then decoupaged a "North Pole Candy Co. Peppermint Parlor Sweets & Drinks" advertisement label on the front. I made little pillow Santa dolls which sit in the bucket and will hold a red organza ribbon tie bag filled with peppermint candies. 

Santa Candy Containers

 I just finished these Santa candy containers using empty paper rolls wrapped in a vintage "Santa's Candy Shop" advertisement. They each have a red plug on the bottom for sweets and a paper mache Santa on the top.

Getting Ready for The Holiday Market in December 2024

 I just ordered a banner for my table and working on more Santas every day, I will post pictures of my new creations when completed.

 They are all packaged up and waiting for the tags I ordered from VistaPrint.

More Santas Completed!

 I now have a total of twenty four completed Santas for my 2024 series. I have eight others that are in different stages of completion that I will work on later in the year. I will take a picture later of them all packaged up in protective cellophane bags waiting for the Fall shows. A Parade of Gnomes & Another Santa

 Today I finished the other nine Gnomes which all have an open bottom so they can be used as a Christmas tree topper. They average around 9" tall.

Making Progress!

 Today I am putting finishing touches to some Santas; glueing them on bases and adding a few more accessories. These are finished and will be sealed in bags ready for the Fall shows.

I Love Gnomes

 I am taking a break from Santa dolls while still waiting for some accessories to arrive so I decided to make some little Gnomes. I have enough materials together to make ten. click on  picture to enlarge.

Will 2lbs Be Enough?

 The Polymer clay is due to arrive tomorrow and now I am wondering if it will be enough to make 15 sets of hands, we shall see. These guys are patiently waiting and the numbers keep growing while we wait. I see someone wanting attention and snuck into the picture that is good to go and be decorated.

Decorating Day!

 I got anxious to start decorating a few Santas today, here are some I started, still waiting for more items to arrive by mail to add later.
